About the class

Searching for an immersive jewellery-making experience in Sri Lanka? This exclusive workshop in Ahangama offers the perfect blend of creativity and craftsmanship.

This unique class offers an unparalleled opportunity to design and craft your own textured ring from scratch—using techniques rarely available in beginner classes. With full creative control, you’ll work with malleable wax to melt, carve, scrape, and handcraft a truly unique piece that reflects your vision.

Unlike standard classes, you’ll take your jewellery-making skills further by melting and pouring your own silver into natural clay-sand to cast your design. The depth of this 3-hour workshop ensures you’ll walk away with far more than just a ring—you’ll gain hands-on experience with sand casting methods and the satisfaction of creating a complex, personalized work of art far beyond standard beginner workshops.

In this hands-on, 3.5-hour class, you’ll have complete creative freedom, learning to shape and mold malleable wax through melting, carving, and sculpting to bring your unique vision to life. Then, take your skills up a notch by melting and pouring your own silver into natural clay-sand to cast your design—a practice inspired by traditional sand-casting methods.

Gold
If you would like to make your ring in gold, you have the option of 14ct or 18ct gold. Please contact us directly and we can provide an estimate (we charge per gram and will reimburse the cost of the silver included in the workshop class)

Please ensure you tell us ahead of time. 

Gemstones
You may also select gemstones on the day at a discounted rate. Our jewellers will endeavor to have them set during the class however (at a discounted rate), it’s not always possible within the time. If not, they will be set by our jewellers within 2 days of the class. Please discuss your travel plans with our jewellers in class so we can make sure it’s ready for you.
