Olive Yu is a modern jewellery brand based in Ahangama. We design and handcraft meaningful pieces on-site in our oceanfront showroom and studio. With a focus on quality, creativity, and sustainability, we’re a small team with big heart—and we're growing.
The Role
We’re looking for an experienced Operations and Sales Manager to lead our team, drive sales, and keep our daily operations running smoothly. You'll be the link between the creative team, customers, and the business owner—playing a key role in both front-of-house and behind-the-scenes.
Key Responsibilities:
Sales & Customer Experience
+ Lead sales in the showroom and provide a warm, informed experience
+ Train and support the sales team to meet targets and grow confidence
+ Manage the admin team, who also assist in sales
+ Maintain store presentation and merchandising
Team Management & Communication
+ Act as the go-to person between staff and the business owner
+ Handle basic HR tasks (rostering, reviews, leave, etc.)
+Support staff wellbeing and maintain a positive work culture
Operations & Production
+ Ensure smooth day-to-day running of showroom and studio
+ Oversee production timelines and help keep jewellery orders on track
+ Support and coordinate with jewellers as needed
+ Assist in hosting jewellery workshops
+ Manage inventory systems, POS, and customer follow-ups
+ Ensure high standards in quality control
What We’re Looking For:
+ At least 2 years experience in team leadership, sales, or operations (retail or creative industry a bonus)
+ Strong communicator and problem-solver
+ Organised, reliable, and comfortable working independently with a commitment to being on-site in Ahangama.
+ Friendly, confident and good with people
+ Fluency in English, Spoken Sinhala preferred but not essential.
+ Must be living on the south coast of Sri Lanka or willing to relocate.
